ASIA/CHINA - The editor of the main Catholic publication Faith says Catholic communities all over China are praying for the Pope

Shi Jia Zhuang (Fides Service) - Rev. Zhang Shi Jiang, editor of Faith magazine, the most widely read Catholic publication in China, told Fides that since the news of the Pope ailing condition was released Catholic clergy and faithful all over mainland China began to offer prayers for Pope John Paul II, invoking Most Holy Mary to protect “our Pope, our spiritual leader the Holy Father Pope John Paul II. Our hearts are heavy with anxiety and concern. As a priest, a media operator, and as a simple Catholic, my heart is with the Pope” the editor told Fides.
