ASIA/TAIWAN - Hsinchu diocese recalls zeal and spirit of service of Sr. Antsila Yao of the Missionary Servants of the Holy Spirit

Beijing (Agenzia Fides) - The first headmistress of Shu Guang Girl’s Senior High school, Mother Antsila Yao, a member of the congregation of the Missionary Servants of the Holy Spirit died at the age of 88, after dedicating 62 years of her life to service and apostolate as a Catholic nun. Hsinchu diocese celebrated a solemn Mass in memory of the “great little Sister” who will be remembered by the entire community for her artistic talent, her scientific knowledge, she had a degree in mathematics Fu Ren Catholic University, but above all for her exemplary life as a women religious since she was 26.
Voicing his praise for this faithful servant Bishop Luke Liu Hsien-Tang, emeritus of Hsinchu said during his homily: “The life of Sr. Antsila was one of total fidelity to the Lord, to the Church, to the Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit, ordinary people, school children, education of youth and of the entire Catholic community.”
