Toronto (Fides Service) - “Since we heard the Pope had been admitted to Gemelli hospital we have been praying even more intensely for his intentions and his health and speedy recovery. Special prayers for the Pope’s health are said at every Sunday Mass and with children in catechism classes” Rev. Huang, at Blessed Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church in Toronto, Canada told Fides. “Of course - Rev. Huang explains - we always pray for the Pope and teach our children to do the same. But now that he is in hospital our prayer is more intense”. The Chinese speaking Catholic community in Toronto is one of largest overseas communities, with 1,200 registered Catholic families and a total of 8,000 Catholics. It is also one of the most active and lively which organises catechism classes for children, Bible study groups, prayer groups, study groups, charity groups etc. (Agenzia Fides 5/3/2005 Righe: 12 Parole: 151)
