Friday, 4 March 2005

Seoul (Fides Service) - During a recent meeting to discuss activities in 2005 the Commission for Social Communications of the Korean Catholic Bishops Conference, presided by Bishop Paul Choi Duk-ki of Suwon, agreed to give special attention to promoting more profound knowledge of and appreciation for the presence of Christ in the Eucharist in this Year of the Eucharist called by Pope John Paul II.
The commission will prepare printed, video and audio material to help Catholics understand the importance and significance of the Eucharist in the life of every individual and the whole Church and take a more active part in liturgical celebrations. The material, distributed to all parishes, will help pastoral workers lead the faithful to draw abundant graces from the Eucharist.
The Commission also decided to publish a special Glossary on the Catholic faith to correct mistaken use of words among the people, the media and society. (PA) (Agenzia Fides 4/03/2005 Righe: 16 Parole: 180)
