Wednesday, 16 February 2005

Beijing (Fides Service) - Celebrations for the Lunar New Year in Beijing provided an opportunity to promote inter-religious dialogue. In fact the communities of the main religions in China, Taoist, Buddhist, Christian and Muslim organised an inter-religious party to promote a new year of friendship, dialogue and brotherhood. At a special meal the believers enjoyed various dishes prepared by each community. The dinner was followed by a concert which included a warmly applauded performance by the city’s Catholic choir.
