Tuesday, 1 February 2005

Taipei (Fides Service) - As indicated by the Regional Bishops’ Conference the Catholic community in Taiwan celebrated with intensity the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. To help participation of the faithful the Bishops issued guidelines for the prayer themes. In a booklet published by the Christian Life Weekly (Taipei archdiocese), the Bishop offered concrete suggestions for community and individual prayers for unity.
The celebration had seven parts: exposition of the Blessed Sacrament; opening prayer; Scripture reading; homily and prayers; hymn; prayer for unity among Christians; adoration led by the priest and final blessing. The Bishops also recommended the celebration of morning and evening prayer with the theme of unity. (Agenzia Fides 1/02/2005 Righe: 18 Parole: 178)
