Cordoba (Agenzia Fides) - The Medical Council of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints confirmed the miracle attributed to the intercession of the priest of Traslasierra, José Gabriel Brochero, known as "Cura Gaucho" (Gaucho Priest), who was beatified on September 14, 2013. Therefore the path towards canonization begins. The second miracle attributed to Father José Gabriel Brochero regards a girl from San Juan, surprisingly healed from many serious injuries.
According to reports sent to Fides, the town of Villa Cura Brochero, located in the Valley of Traslasierra, Cordoba province, has intensely lived these moments of great expectation before a crucial step in the process of canonization. The Bishop of Cruz del Eje, His Exc. Mgr. Santiago Olivera, had hoped yesterday talking to Cadena 3 (Local Radio) that if the seven doctors had declared that what happened goes beyond scientific knowledge, then "it would be a very important step: it would open the doors to canonization, I do not know when, in 2016 or in 2017".
