Kathmandu (Agenzia Fides) –Three months after the earthquake, NGO Plan Internacional, warns of the danger of an increase in the trafficking of early marriages. In Nepal it is known that two out of five girls are married before the age of 18 . In a statement Plan Internacional affirms that the tremor aggravated an already difficult situation regarding water supplies and sanitation, and the arrival of the monsoon season increased the risk of disease such as diarrhoea, common cold and pneumonia. To protect minors the NGO is also helping to build temporary school buildings to enable the children to return to school as soon as possible, to resume lessons and also to provide place of safety from the danger of human trafficking. Plan Internacional acts mainly in the districts of Sindulpalchowk and Dolakha, most affected by the earthquake. However its aid also reached the valleys of Kathmandu, Sindhuli and Makwanpur.
