Thursday, 9 July 2015

Bethlehem (Agenzia Fides) - In the eight schools of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem scattered in the Palestinian territories, the final exams this year showed outstanding results, which confirm the excellence of the work carried out by teachers and students, and represent an effective incentive to continue the mission of education with enthusiasm for the benefit of young Palestinians, in a period for them both difficult and uncertain.
The eight schools cater for Christian and Muslim students, and are located in Ramallah, Zababdeh, Taybeh, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, Birzeit, Nablus and Gaza. According to data provided by the official bodies of the Latin Patriarchate, this year the schools in Ramallah, Taybeh, Gaza and Nablus registered 100% pass in the final examination, while the percentage was 92% in Zababdeh, 91% in Birzeit, 89% in Beit Sahour and 88% in Beit Jala. A total of 252 237 students successfully passed the exams.
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, with the support of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, is dedicating energy and resources to the discovery and the revitalization of vocation and objectives that animate the system of the patriarchal schools since their creation, over 160 years ago.
