Thursday, 11 June 2015

Idlib (Agenzia Fides) - The jihadist militiamen linked to al-Nusra Front have massacred dozens of Druze civilians in Qalb Loza village, in the Mount Simmaq area, near the town of Idlib. Eyewitnesses of the massacre told Kurdish Ara News Agency that the mass execution took place when the Nusra Front militias raided the village, winning the fragile resistance attempted by the Druze. The names of at least thirty victims of the massacre were released by Druze activist groups. The mass execution took place on the outskirts of the village, with the clear intention of spreading terror in the rest of the civilian population. For jihadi militias who control large part of the Syrian territory, also the Druze are an apostate sect who impose a return to "true Islam". (GV) (Agenzia Fides 11/06/2015)
