ASIA/HONG KONG - Diocese collects money for tsunami victims and holds special prayers for the dead and their families

Hong Kong (Fides Service) - Besides organising special collections for the peoples affected by the seaquake in southern Asia, Hong Kong diocese also is also holding special prayers in the Cathedral for the people victims of the tsunami. On learning the tragic news the diocese of Hong Kong led by Bishop Joseph Zen, immediately made available one million HK dollars available for the affected areas. According to the diocesan bulletin Kong Ko Bao people of all different faiths, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus and Christians are making every effort to collect money and other aid and to pray for the victims.
