Monday, 1 June 2015

Guatemala City (Agenzia Fides) - Constitution Square, in Guatemala City, was the place where many academics, teachers, social groups, groups and private institutions, religious and many families gathered on Saturday, May 30. Thousands carried banners demanding the resignation of President Otto Pérez Molina, after a scandal linked to corruption. A group of judges in fact discovered last month a case of bribery involving different tax officials and state officials. The Guatemalan population therefore organized a demonstration shouting slogans, asking Otto Perez to resign. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 01/06/2015)
