Among the main points of Cardinal Ricardo Blazquez’ speech, we can highlight: the Year of Consecrated Life and the fifth Centenary of the birth of Saint Teresa of Jesus; the task of the mission today: the "missionary transformation" of churches, parishes and communities is being experienced in Spain; the social situation: "this social and economic crisis are leading to an anthropological, ethic and religious crisis"; the persecution of Christians; the tragedy of immigration; the reasons for hope.
