Bogotà (Agenzia Fides) - The President of the Episcopal Conference of Colombia, His Exc. Mgr. Luis Augusto Castro Quiroga, Archbishop of Tunja, in a note sent to Agenzia Fides by the Episcopal Conference states that the Archbishop, during a meeting with the main collaborators of his diocese said: "The process leads to the conclusion that we know only 10% of the victims’ pain". He also pointed out that, thanks to the testimonies of victims, it was possible to highlight the damage caused, and the responsibility of the authors of the crimes has been recognized.
Referring to the indefinite ceasefire on behalf of FARC, the President of the Episcopal Conference has definied the gesture as "a sign of peace", and added: "I very much welcome the fact that FARC have suspended hostilities.
