Friday, 12 December 2014

Ankara (Fides) - The Center for Strategic Research of the New Turkey YTSAM (Yeni Turkiye Stratejik Arastırmalar Merkezi) has commissioned eight Turkish historians to provide materials and useful contributions to refute the arguments spread all over the world, by representatives and institutions related to the Armenian people, with regards to the extermination of the Armenians, in Anatolia in 1915. This was announced by the Turkish media sources, consulted by Agenzia Fides. The Turkish sources reveal that the work of the historians is coordinated by the former Turkish Minister of Education, Hasan Celal Guzel, and aims to prepare a publication of 20 chapters to be printed in seven languages and distributed to the Turkish representations abroad, in order to counter the reconstructions of the Armenian Genocide that next year will be proposed again in the world, a hundred years after the tragic events of 1915.
