Wednesday, 19 November 2014

Rome (Agenzia Fides) - The work of the fourth National Missionary Congress, to be held in Sacrofano (Rome) until November 23 on the theme "Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city - where the Gospel becomes encounter" will open tomorrow, November 20th. Organized by the National Office for missionary cooperation among the Churches, together with Missio Foundation and Cum Foundation, the Conference, will be attended by more than 700 participants, and "aims to highlight the richness of the missionary activities of the Church in Italy and relaunch the efforts of individuals and groups and the community for the mission ad gentes, starting from the poor, those living on the outskirts of the world".
As it is written in the presentation of the event, "ten years after the previous National Convention in Montesilvano, there was the need to take stock of the situation with regards to: pastoral action as animation, cooperation and formation, to look ahead and revitalize mission".
