AFRICA/SUDAN - Over 4,500 homeless children in the capital of South Darfur

Nyala (Agenzia Fides) – In Nyala, capital of South Darfur, there are over 4500 homeless children. This is what was reported by the Governor of the State in a press conference. According to the Ministry of Social Affairs of the State, the conditions in the war-torn Country, particularly in the South, are creating a generation of drug addicts. Nyala is the second largest city in Sudan after Khartoum. Estimates of the number of inhabitants are constantly changing.
