Port au Prince (Agenzia Fides) - The Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH) announced that on Thursday, March 13 the second phase of the inter-Haitian dialogue to put an end to a long crisis that paralyzes the country started again. The spokesman for the CEH, Mgr. Patrick Aris, reports to Fides Agency that the discussions between the Executive and Parliament have started with the aim of signing the agreement already reached in the first phase of the dialogue. The President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, the President of the Senate, Simon Dieuseul Desras, and the First Secretary of the Senate, Stevens Benoit were present. The CEH was represented by the newly-elected Cardinal Chibly Langlois, engaged in the mediation (see Fides 25/02/2014). In the note sent to Fides, Mgr. Patrick Aris, draws attention to the need to be pragmatic: "The most important thing regarding the agreement is not the signiture, but its implementation". (CE) (Agenzia Fides 14/03/2014)
