ASIA/CHINA - The Sisters of the Diocese of Su Zhou end the Year of Faith with a pilgrimage

Su Zhou (Agenzia Fides) – A three-day pilgrimage to the Cathedral and the Shrine of Our Lady, in the Archdiocese of Ji Nan: this is how the Diocesan Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of the Virgin of the Diocese of Su Zhou, in Jiang Su province wanted to conclude the Year of Faith lived with intense spirituality. As reported to Fides Agency by Faith of He Bei, the small community made the religious pilgrimage from November 12 to 14.
In the Cathedral of Ji Nan, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, the nuns were received by the Elder Bishop, His Exc. Mgr. Zhang Xian Wang, who advised them to always be the "light of the world and salt of the earth", because "the Lord has called and sent us to witness Him on the path of evangelization". During the Mass at the Marian shrine, the Sisters were invited by the priest to intensify Marian spirituality, following the example of Mary’s spirituality and availability, in order to experience the joy of consecrated life. During the Year of Faith the Sisters of the Presentation shared an intense spiritual journey with the whole diocese, in the light of Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Letter Porta fidei and of the Pastoral Letter for the Year of Faith of the diocese, always invoking the intercession of the Patron saint of the diocese and of the mission, St. Therese of Lisieux.
