EUROPE/ITALY - To mark World Mission Sunday OMI missionaries in Catanzaro and a youth group launch a web site In Italian on Father Mario Borzaga Oblate Missionary of Mary Immaculate who died on mission in Laos at the age of 28

Rome (Fides Service) - On the occasion of World Mission Sunday, with Italian Oblates missionaries in Catanzaro young members of a movement in Calabria called Costruire have opened a web page in memory of young Father Mario Borzaga OMI (1932-1960), who died a martyr in Laos in May 1960, only four years after his ordination.
The web page offers information on the life of Father Mario, his writings (Diary and Poetry) and pearls (Maria, Eucharist and Mission). E section dedicated to recent life, the movement and growing interest in Father Mario in recent years: The “Amici di p. Mario”, Association, founded in the diocese of Trent and a bibliography (Father Mario’s writings, and publications on Father Mario and on the presence of OMI Missionaries in Laos), and lastly photographs. Section three illustrates the OMI missionaries, their founder Saint Eugenio de Mazenod, and the work of OMI in Laos. This page has a link with articles, studies and testimonies.
The Home Page includes a report on the Cause of Beatification carried forward by Father Angelo Pelis OMI Vice postulator of the causes of martyrs in Laos.
