Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - Didache, koinonia and diakonia, three characteristics that distinguish the original Christian community are the main themes of the Pastoral Letter for Lent by card. John Tong, Bishop of the Diocese of Hong Kong, published by Kung Kao Po, weekly newsletter of the Diocese of Hong Kong. "From Sacred Scripture to Jesus Christ" is the title of the letter which shows "Lent as a time to spiritually prepare Christians to receive Holy Easter, and be reborn with Christ." "Prayer, fasting and almsgiving are the three traditional practices of this time of year where the Christian Catholic Church help us to focus on the Lord and to love your neighbor," continued the cardinal. "Sacred Scripture, Didache, is the best way to strengthen our faith." The Bishop of Hong Kong invites the faithful to live the Scriptures to revive the spirit of prayer, communion and evangelization in the diocese transmitting hope and love in the Lord with all your loved ones.
