Xing Tai (Agenzia Fides) - "Here I am Lord" was the theme of the meeting in the Year of Faith of the University students in Xing Tai, in the province of He Bei, held from January 26 to 28. According to what was said to Fides Agency by Faith of He Bei, about fifty university students, between Catholics and non-Catholics (the latter as guests), from 40 universities in the province, followed the spiritual reflection on faith guided by the priests assisted by local seminarians. "They made us feel the presence of the Lord among us," said one participant. They also "helped us to understand the gifts that the Lord has given us to create a strong network of faith and how each element in this network is an effective tool for evangelization, to increasingly expand this network of faith." The second day focused on the personal experience of the life of faith in the light of the Word of God: how to be a guide of basic ecclesial communities, so that these universities are protagonists of their own communities and the environment in which they live. During Mass, personal and communal adoration and prayer, the priests helped young people to pray, to get closer to the Lord. In the end the university students, full of spiritual strength and faith, confirmed the next meeting and the commitment to carry out an intense spiritual journey during the Year of Faith.
