AFRICA/GABON - Resignation of the Bishop of Mouila and appointment of Successor
Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father Benedict XVI on January 19, 2013, accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the Diocese of Mouila (Gabon), by His Exc. Mgr. Dominique Bonnet, C.S.Sp., in accordance with canon 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law. The Holy Father appointed His Exc. Mgr. Mathieu Madega Lebouakehan, Bishop of the Diocese of Port-Gentil (Gabon) as Bishop of the Diocese of Mouila (Gabon). The same Prelate was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the vacant et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the Diocese of Port-Gentil. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 21/01/2013)
