ASIA/HONG KONG - To share and improve the resources of evangelization: the birth of the Catholic Laity Alliance

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - Catholic Laity Alliance (http://clacla.org/), is an online platform created by the joint work of dozens of lay Catholic communities in Hong Kong and Catholic communities of the Chinese diaspora. The goal is to share resources and improve evangelization. The platform, according to what was reported to Fides Agency by the weekly bulletin of the Diocese of Hong Kong, Kung Kao Po, was officially born on September 25, 2011, with great support from the Vicar of Hong Kong Mgr. Dominic Chan. The site ranges from publications, documentations on mission, spirituality, marriage and family, art, and social services with the active participation of the laity. The mission of CLA is to promote collaboration between the Catholic lay ministers, to build networks and work together to promote the Catholic faith, the information and the teaching of the Catholic Church, renovate and create the concept of the lay apostolate, to help the formation of new lay communities, to promote activities and initiatives of evangelization of the communities, and of the Diocese of Hong Kong.
