Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on October 1, 2012 appointed Rev. Jovitus Mwijage of the diocesan clergy of Bukoba as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Tanzania for the years 2012-2017. The appointment is effective as of November 23, 2012. The new National Director was born on December 2, 1966 and was ordained a priest 17 years ago. He obtained his doctorate in Church History at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He was assistant parish priest, diocesan treasurer, formator in Rubya Seminary in Bukoba. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 12/12/2012)
