ASIA/HONG KONG - The realization of the Rosary beads becomes an occasion for catechesis

Wednesday, 12 December 2012

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – A hand made rosary, to thank the sisters for their reception: is the Christmas initiative of the girls who are guests of the College of the Missionaries of the Good Shepherd in Hong Kong to pay homage to the sisters, especially those who celebrate 70 and 60 years of religious life. As reported by Kung Kao Po, the weekly magazine of the Diocese of Hong Kong, some of these girls did not know the meaning of the Rosary, so, as they learned from the volunteers how to make a Rosary, they also received a catechism lesson and formation in faith. The testimony of one of them is eloquent: "My intention was to thank those sisters who loved me so much and have always helped me. But now I am starting to have a strong desire to get to know the Christian faith, thanks to the exemplary testimony of these Sisters of the Good Shepherd. "A Catholic girl said: "I want the sisters to use this rosary every day, so I am sure they will think and pray for me." (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 12/12/2012)
