Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on 13 April 2012 appointed Rev. Dilip S. Costa, of the diocese of Rajshahi as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Bangladesh for the years 2012-2017.
The new National Director was born on September 10, 1966 and was ordained a priest on December 30, 1996 for the Diocese of Rajshahi. He studied in Rome, where he obtained a degree in history of the Church. He was Rector of the Minor Seminary. He has great ability in writing articles and composing hymns. He is currently the parish priest in his diocese and a teacher at the Major Seminary. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 27/11/2012)
