New Delhi (Agenzia Fides) - Catholic education in India, famous for its quality, includes business studies. Besides offering excellent training, the Catholic vision of this type of education aims to instil moral values in business to ensure that the market is at the service of people.
Highly appreciated Catholic Business Schools run by religious orders in Goa, Karnataka and Jharkhand are listed with the most serious and competent colleges in the country.
One of these is the Xavier Labour Research Institute XLRI, run by the Society of Jesus in Jamshedpur Jharkhand state known as the second best institute for business management in all India according to the October 10 edition of Business Today.
Three other Catholic institutes Goa Institute of Management, Xavier Institute of Management at Bhubaneswar and the Christ Institute of Management at Bangalore are among the 30 best schools of management listed by the review.

The Institute, opened in 1949 by the Jesuit Fathers, today has 360 students and 43 teachers. It stands on a campus of about acres and has a library with 54.000 volumes, 13,000 periodicals and 12,000 essays, and the Internet connections for the students. Its offers courses in business management, management of human resources, industrial relations.
The Goa Institute of Management run by the Jesuits has 120 students and it offers specialisation in Marketing and Economy. The Christ Institute of Management in Bangalore, is a point of reference, a “1st choice” college, for students who want to enrol for a Masters in Business Administration.
