Han Dan (Agenzia Fides) - "Your faith has saved you" is the title of the Pastoral Letter for the Year of Faith written by His Exc. Mgr. Yang Xiang Tai, Bishop of the Diocese of Han Dan, in the province of He Bei. According to the elderly Bishop, the Year of the Faith, which will begin on October 11th, invites us to recognize the call we received; to reflect on our life of faith; to commit ourselves to the great mission entrusted to us. So prayer, adoration, Marian devotion are the three essential points to live well a year of intense spirituality of faith. Mgr. Yang Xiang Tai primarily addresses families, priests and women religious. In the section dedicated to the Year of Faith in the family, he presents three themes: the role of parents, Christian marriage, children gift of God. By presenting the "Year of Faith with priests and women religious," he underlines to priests that they are "Christ’s followers" and have an important role for the Year of Faith: you must always conform to Christ, committed to the formation of oneself and that of the faithful, in order to be ready to proclaim the Gospel. The sisters recommend the imitation of three "women of faith": the Virgin Mary, St. Therese of Lisieux and Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. "It is the solemn moment for the whole Church to proclaim the same faith with fidelity" stresses Mgr. Yang, who invokes the Lord "to help us to always be faithful to the faith in Christ, to glorify God together with the Universal Church overcoming every form of difficulty."
