ASIA/TAIWAN - Caritas Volunteers receive the missionary mandate "to bring Christ to the people"

Thursday, 19 July 2012

Tai Nan (Agenzia Fides) - "Make Love and Life grow": this was the message that the two groups of volunteers of Caritas in Taiwan, which started on 4 and 5 July, want to bring to people, especially young people, of the most remote area of the island of Taiwan. As reported by the Catholic Weekly of the Archdiocese of Tai Pei, during the 25-day mission, the two volunteer groups composed respectively by 33 and 12 members, live, pray, work together with local youngsters, many of whom are natives, exchanging their life experiences and bringing the message of Christ's Love. During the solemn missionary mandate that was given to them on July 3, Fr. Oliver, CICM, urged those present to "take the little flame of the Great Love of God to people," he also hoped: "this exchange of giving and receiving helps everyone to open their hearts, to hear the call of the Lord, to further experiment the graces the Lord has granted us."
