ASIA/VIETNAM - Resignation of the Bishop of Quy Nhon and succession
Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Holy Father Benedict XVI on June 30, 2012 accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the dioceses of Quy Nhon (Vietnam), by His Exc. Mgr. Pierre Nguyen Soan, in accordance with canon 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law. He is succeeded by His Excellency Msg. Matthieu Nguyen Van Khoi, Coadjutor of the same Diocese.
