Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – The Holy Father, Benedict XVI, on 15 May 2012, named His Excellency, Msgr. Varghese Chakkalakal, Bishop of the diocese of Calicut (India) until now Bishop of Kannur and, at the same time, named him Apostolic Administrator “sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis” of the diocese of Kannur.
