AMERICA/UNITED STATES-The Episcopal Conference has posted a website and through the website one can connect to Facebook with details on the Pope’s trip
New York City (Agenzia Fides) - Benedict XVI’s visit in Mexico and Cuba will also be posted by the American Episcopate website and social networks. In a note sent to Fides, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) announces that a section of its website specifically dedicated to the Pope's trip to both countries will be opened, the visit will also be followed through Facebook (www.facebook.com/usccb). The Bishops' Conference also announced the names of its representatives that will accompany the Holy Father during his trip: His Excellency Archbishop Octavio Cisneros, Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn, New York, group leader, His exc. Mgr. Gerald Kicanas, Bishop of Tucson, director of Catholic Relief Services; His Exc. Mgr. Richard Pates, Bishop of Des Moines, and His Exc. Mgr. Eusebio Elizondo, auxiliary Bishop of Seattle, members of the Commission for the Church in Latin America of the USCCB. Mgr. Cisneros has expressed his joy to represent the Catholic Bishops of the United States, and has invited us to pray "so that the Pope's visit to Mexico and Cuba brings peace, reconciliation and many blessings for both countries".
