AFRICA/ZIMBABWE-Appointment of the Rector of the inter-diocesan Seminary, "Sts John Fisher and Thomas More" in Harare

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on December 6, 2011 appointed rev. James Ndhlalambi, of the archdiocesan clergy of Harare as Rector of the inter-diocesan seminary, "Sts John Fisher and Thomas More" in the Archdiocese of Harare (Zimbabwe).
The new Rector was born on May 23, 1963 and was ordained a priest on January 10, 1993 at St. Michael's Mission in Mhondoro. After his primary and secondary studies, he studied philosophy (1985/87) and theology (1988/92) at the regional major Seminary of Chishawasha. He later continued his studies in Rome at the Pontifical Urban University and obtained a licentiate in Canon Law (2000/2002) and Ph.D. (2002/2007). Among the positions held: he was Assistant pastor and Pastor, a member of the Commission for the Finance of the archdiocese, Director for vocations and spiritual Director for the youth. Since 2009 he has been teaching canon law at the major Seminary in Chishawasha, and from 2011 he was pro-rector. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 14/3/2012)
