Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on September 23, 2011 appointed rev. Fr. Patrick Walsh, of the Society of Jesus (SJ) as Rector of the inter-diocesan Seminary "Morning Star College" in Barrackpore (India).
The new Rector of the Jesuit Province of Calcutta, was born on October 30, 1947 in Calcutta. He was ordained a priest on April 12, 1980 in Australia. He was a Professor of English at St. Xavier College, in Calcutta for 18 years; Dean of Juniorate Dhyan Ashram in Baruipur for 4 years; Vice-parish of St. Joseph's Church in Bariupur. He has been a Professor of English at the "Morning Star Regional Seminary" for four years (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 08/03/2012)
