AFRICA/MOZAMBIQUE - Appointment of the Rector of the Theological Seminary "São Pius X" in Maputo

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on May 28, 2011 appointed rev. Inacio Lucas, of the diocesan clergy of Nacala as Rector of the interdiocesan Theological Seminary "São Pius X" in the Archdiocese of Maputo (Mozambique).
The new Rector was born on September 21, 1969, in the District of Erati (Namapa). He was ordained a priest on June 21, 1998 for the Diocese of Nacala. He obtained his Licentiate in Liturgy at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of St. Anselm in Rome. Among the positions held: Parochial vicar of the cathedral of Nacala and parish of Nacaroa; Vice Rector, Prefect of Studies and Professor of Liturgy at the inter-diocesan philosophical Seminary St. Augustine of Matola.
