Caracas (Agenzia Fides) - The Episcopal Conference of Venezuela has sent an informative note to Fides on the National Assembly of Responsibles and diocesan Directors of the Family Pastoral, held from January 20 to 22 at the headquarters of the Episcopal Conference of Venezuela, in Caracas. This meeting was attended by 60 delegates of the diocesan Secretariats of the Family Pastoral who worked on the theme "United for Life." The work began with a welcome from His Exc. Mgr. Rafael Conde, Bishop of Maracay and President of the Episcopal Commission for Family and Children of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference. The program developed various issues related to family and childhood, the annual report of the Department of Family and Children of the Episcopal Conference was also presented. This National Assembly also defined the details for the participation of the Venezuelan delegation to the next World Meeting of Families to be held in Milan (Italy) from May 30 to June 3, 2012.
