Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father Benedict XVI on December 26, 2011 accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), presented by His Exc. Mgr. Edward Joseph Gilbert, C.SS.R., in accordance with canon 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law. He is succeeded by His Exc. Mgr. Joseph Harris, C.S.Sp., Coadjutor of the same Archdiocese.
