AFRICA/KENYA - A priest was killed in Nairobi
Nairobi (Agenzia Fides) - A Catholic priest was killed in Kenya's capital, Nairobi. According to the information Fides gathered, don Awuor Kisero, who had returned to Kenya from Italy a few days before, was attacked by four men on the evening of October 3rd in the area of Dandora on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital. Fr. James was stabbed in the chest. He was immediately taken to the clinic in Kayole, but doctors advised that he should be transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital. During transport to the hospital Fr.James, unfortunately died. Fr. James was the younger brother of Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth, Archbishop of Kisumu. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 07/10/2011)
