Vatican City (Fides Service) - Pope Benedict XVI accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Archdiocese of Rabaul (Papua New Guinea), on behalf of His Excellency Most Reverend Mgr. Karl Hesse, MSC, in Accordance with canon 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law.
He is taken over by S.E. Mgr. Francesco Panfilo, S.D.B., Coadjutor of the same Archdiocese". (Agenzia Fides 17/08/2011)
