Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Card. Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on 12 January 2011, appointed as National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies of England and Wales for the period 2011-2016, Fr James Cronin, from the clergy of the Archdiocese of Southwark.
The new National Director is dean of the Cathedral of St George in Southwark, where he has been concerned with pastoral care and administrative activities. His ministry has also seen him involved in ethnic chaplaincy work, with very positive feedback. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 17/03/2011)
