Warsaw (Fides Service) - As in the past, the Pontifical Mission Societies in Poland will hold an annual Course of Missionary Animation Grade 2, from June 28 to July 4, Father Jan Piotrowski, national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Poland informs Fides. The annual course is open to priests, men and women religious and lay persons involved in missionary animation. This year reflection will focus on missionary animation in the respective communities in the light of Pope John Paul II’s post synodal Exhortation “Ecclesia in Europa” (n.20). Some 60 participants from 20 different dioceses have enrolled for the course this year.
Another missionary event in Poland was the 38th National Mission Symposium for Seminarians 24 - 28 June, at Siedlce Major Seminary. The theme for reflection was: the challenges to mission ad Gentes on the Continent of Europe, in particular with reference to paragraph 64 of “Ecclesia in Europa” with the title “Mission ad Gentes”. Symposiums for Seminarians have a long history and they are a fruit of missionary animation mainly by Pontifical Mission Societies offices in Poland. (S.L.)
