AFRICA/CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC - National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on October 30, 2009 appointed as National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies in the Central African Republic for five years (2009-2014), Sister Josephine Gueyazoua of the "Petites Soeurs du Coeur de Jesus."
The new National Director was born in Ouango (Bangassou) on April 29, 1972. After her primary and secondary school studies in Ouango and Bangui, she continued higher studies in Yaoundé (Cameroon), where she earned a university degree and a certificate in Human-Religious Pastoral Education (FHRP) and studied at the “Institut de Formation Religieux” in Benin. She entered as a postulant on July 6, 1991 and made temporal vows on July 3, 1994 and perpetual vows on November 27, 2002. Among the positions she has held are: bursar at the Major Seminary of Saint Marc of Bimbo, head of the Fraternity of Bambari, assistant general of the Fraternity of the "Petites Soeurs du Coeur de Jesus,” and general busar.
