VATICAN - International Workshop for health-workers, educators and journalists on Italia-USA formation at distance hosted by Bambino Gesù Hospital

Vatican City (Fides Service) - On June 23 the Children’s Hospital Bambino Gesu will host an international workshop in formation at a distance as part of an Italian national programme for Ongoing Medical Formation .
The hospital’s Children’s Health Care Portal with more than 150 multimedia interactive courses already available for medics and non has become a point of reference for formation at a distance for medical staff.
The Bambino Gesù Hospital and its Portal have been indicated by the Italian Health Ministry as one of 68 national providers for organising and running residential and at a distance refresher courses for medics and paramedics.
The international workshop on 23 June (see programme www.ospedalebambinogesu.it), open to health-workers, educators and journalists will be an opportunity to see how Italy is closing the gap with other countries. (AP) (21/6/2004 Agenzia Fides; Righe:18; Parole:195)
