Taipei (Fides Service) - In Taiwan, and not only in Taiwan, ecumenism and interreligious dialogue are fundamental for social harmony. Recently Father Albert Poulet-Mathis, head of the Commission interreligious dialogue and promotion of unity among Christians at the Tien Educational Center in Taipei and Presbyterian Pastor Do Lin Fang Zhong, head of the youth committee of the Presbyterian Church of Taiwan organised a Seminar “Evangelisation and Ecumenical Encounter”. Guest of honour was Presbyterian Pastor John Parry from England. The three day Seminar included conferences by Catholic and Presbyterian theologians and experts. Twenty young people from each community took part and were enriched by an exchange of experience and new knowledge and insight which heightened their interest for ecumenical dialogue.
