AFRICA/MAURITIUS - Rector of the Propedeutic and Philosophical Interdiocesan Seminary “Notre Dame de la Trinite” in Diocese of Port Luis appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Cardinal Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on October 1, 2009, appointed as Rector of the Propedeutic and Philosophical Interdiocesan Seminary “Notre Dame de la Trinite” in Diocese of Port Luis (Mauritius), Fr. Alain Jacques Romaine.
The new Rector was born July 6, 1958 at Curepipe (Mauritius). He was ordained a priest on July 26, 1992 for the Diocese of Port Louis. He received his bachelor's degree in Theology and specialized studies in catechesis and pastoral ministry. He is currently continuing his studies in Paris, France, at the IFEC, “Institut pour la formation des éducateurs du clerge.” (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 17/12/2009)
