BaoTou (Fides Service) -Qing Shan parish in Bao Tou, inner Mongolia is a very active community. Between 1998 and 2001 the people built their own church with a splendid bell tower 35 meters high. With the encouragement of the parish priest Yang FuXi the parishioners have formed prayer groups, a parish choir, catechism classes, Bible Study groups and charity work. On Sundays about 300 attend Mass and on special feasts the congregation swells to about 1,000.
