EUROPE/ITALY - More than 200 million people in developing countries affected by “duodenal jardis” carried by parasite, Italian Health Institute organises workshop

Rome (Fides Service) - To offer an updated picture of progress in the field of epidemology and diagnosis of “duodenal jardis” on Monday 10 May the Italian Health Institute will hold a workshop at which several international doctors will be present.
This infection is the most common cause of non viral diarrhoea. It affects more than 200 million people every years in developing countries but also in industrialised countries where jardis in seen as a re-emerging infection connected with transmission of the parasite through water and food.
