AFRICA/CHAD - Rev. Gregoire Njebe Ngarmandji appointed Rector of St. Mbaga Tuzinde Major Seminary

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has appointed, 12 March 2004, rector of St Mbaga Tuzinde inter-diocesan Major Seminary in the diocese of Sarh (Chad) Reverend Gregoire Njebe Ngarmandji, a member of the clergy of Doba.
The new rector was born on 15 May 1963 at Canton Sama. He was ordained a priest on 5 June 1993 at Doba. He studied philosophy and theology at St Luke’s Major Seminary in Chad. He obtained a Licentiate in Theology (1999) specialising in youth pastoral and catechetics and then a Doctorate in Theology (2003) at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome. In Chad he worked in various parishes, he has been diocesan head of on-going formation, head of the commission for co-ordinated pastoral. Since 2003 he has been Episcopal Vicar for the city of Bebedja President of the diocesan commission for on-going formation. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 25/3/2004; Righe 11; Parole 157)
