National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies confirmed

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has, 27 February 2004, appointed National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in El Salvador, for a five year term (2004-2009), Reverend Norberto Jose Marroquin Renderos of the clergy of San Vicente. The new National Director was born on 24 February 1959 at Nuevo Tepetitan (El Salvador). He was ordained a priest on 12 December 1985. He has been parish priest in three different parishes (1985-1991) and since 1991 he has been parish priest at Santa Barbara in Sensuntepeque. Since 1995 he has been diocesan Director for Pontifical Mission Societies and National Secretary of the Pontifical Society for Missionary Childhood. (S.L.)
